got the dogs first, circumstances didn't allow a farm at the time. Saw a TV program one Sat AM when I was a kid and it had theWorld Trials held in MD and fell in love with the dogs then! Was about 15 years later before I saw my first real live Border Collie and the owner was surprised anyone knew what they were back then. Got my start from that line. Eventually got the farm, but when we expanded trials were out of the question due to expenses. When I got back into it, what did you know I was more of a sheepman than a dog trialer!. Things had really changes (not sure all for the good either). So while I started with the sheep for the dogs, over the years it changed to the dogs for the sheep
